ISLAMABAD: Foreign office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has confirmed that a dossier regarding the Pulwama incident was received from India on Thursday and action will be taken on any actionable intelligence if found there, ARY News reported.

He said the issue of Kashmir was the core one and would always be integral to any such dialogue.

About the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, the spokesperson said, “We have activated the UN Military Observer Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) and the group will be taken for a visit to the site where the Indian Air Force jets were shot down.”

He said the arrested Indian pilot was safe and sound. It would be decided in a couple of days whether the pilot would be given the status of prisoner of war or not, he added.

To a query, Faisal said if Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj went to the Organisation of International Cooperation (OIC) session then Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will not attend it.

He lauded Pakistani media for propagating peace. “Situation would have been different, if such an incident would have taken place in India,” he said lashing out at the Indian media’s uncalled for chauvinism.

The spokesman said Pakistan was in contact with the world on the ongoing situation.

He said the Indian government was pushing the region towards war for the sake of 22 seats.
