ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will take the federal cabinet into confidence over existing escalation of tensions with India and Pakistan’s response to the situation, ARY News reported on Thursday (today).
The federal cabinet discussing a 12-point agenda in its meeting chaired by the prime minister.
The PM in the ongoing session of his cabinet will take the federal cabinet into confidence over Pakistan s response to India s violation of Pakistan’s airspace.
The cabinet will also be informed about the decisions taken in National Security Committee and the National Command Authority sessions.
In the cabinet meeting Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will brief the ministers about his talks with the officials of other countries about the existing security situation in the region. His talks with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the United Nations regarding the ongoing hostilities with India.
The federal cabinet in its other agenda will also consider an application of the FIA with regard to exemption from PEPRA rules.
The cabinet will approve a package of reforms for Gilgit-Baltistan region, according to the agenda.
The cabinet session will endorse the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), Energy Committee and the Privatization Committee.
The agenda also included approval of Pakistan’s an agreement with Kazakhstan to curb money laundering.
The cabinet will approve a legal assistance agreement with Uzbekistan.
The federal cabinet will also endorse agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with different countries.
The appointment of the Board of Directors of National Bank is also the part of the cabinet’s business today.
