Fire erupts in multi-storey building in Karachi

KARACHI: A fire erupted on the fourth floor of a multi-storey building, Techno City, located at I.I. Cahndrigarh road in Karachi early Monday morning. 

According to fire officials, a snorkel and half a dozen fire tenders are taking part in the fire fighting operation to douse flames in the building at one of the busiest streets of the city.Fire tenders of Pakistan Navy are also helping the fire fighters to extinguish the fire, the Pak Navy’s spokesperson said in a statement.

The cause of the fire is yet not known.

An official said the fire department’s command and control received a call about a fire at around 5:30 am.
